The Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation supports and administers a hall of fame honoring three distinct categories of graduates and staff of the Lakewood City Schools. The Hall of Fame was established to recognize those who, through participation, service or lifetime achievements have helped bring recognition, honor, distinction and excellence to the Lakewood City Schools. Individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame for their accomplishments in athletics, service as faculty or staff, or by distinguishing themselves as successful adults in their chosen careers and/or serving as benefactors in their local communities, state or the world.

Hall of Fame has gone digital
While the brass plaques honoring prior Hall of Fame Honorees remain for visitors to LHS to view, we are pleased to announce that the Hall of Fame space at LHS, located between the LHS gymnasium and dining hall, features a new web-based display. This new approach to the Hall of Fame was conceived to facilitate greater access to the Lakewood Hall of Fame by alumni, our community and friends of the Lakewood City Schools, from wherever where they are in the world. It was funded through a partnership between the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation and the Administration of the Lakewood City Schools, with special thanks to former LCSD Superintendent, Mr. Jeffrey Patterson, and former LHS Principal, Mr. Keith Ahearn.

Make a Nomination
The Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation Board of Trustees appoints a Hall of Fame Steering Committee comprised of Foundation trustees and Hall of Fame members. A subcommittee is formed for each Hall of Fame, is chaired by a board member and is comprised of both alumni and current or former Lakewood City Schools’ staff members.
Nomination forms for distinguished, athletic, and staff Hall of Fame honorees are being accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
When submitting a nomination, please include as much information as possible on your nominee. Supporting letters and information from others is also permitted and added to the nominee’s file as it is received.
